Default Where to Rent with Little Kids? - Southern Montg Co.

30-somethings with 2 young kids (5 months and 2 years) moving from large midwest city to Southern Montgomery Co. Looking to rent somwhere between Rockville and Bethesda for 1-2 years before buying. Anyone know any nice family-friendly 2-3 BR townhomes or apartments (rent under $2500) to look at? Close-by kid amenities like playground/pool/parks would be a plus. Would love area with walkable stores/restaurants which are stroller friendly (we are currently city-dwellers, reluctantly transitioning to suburbanities). Metro accessibility not necessity. I'm getting overwhelmed with options on rent.com and similar sites - too tough for us to know what are good areas versus scary areas, and marketing can make places look good on their websites but lousy in person. I'm sure someone out there has been in our position - we'd appreciate any advice!!

You can't go wrong in Bethesda, safety wise.

Default apartment and townhouse searches...

How frusterating! I am getting married next May and my fiance and I are in the midst of looking to move from Michigan to Maryland. hotpads.com has been extremely helpful. Otherwise, try apartmentratings.com or rent.com.

Hope this helps a little!!!

Jessica
