What a strange morning of weather. When I went to bed last night the weather report led me to believe that it would be raining when I awoke.

I left the house at 5 to bring my fiance to BWI was shocked to see about 2-3 inches of wet snow and plenty more coming down. Luckily her old Subaru was made for just this sort of thing, otherwise we may not have been able to get out of our alley.

The city streets had not been touched yet, and 295 and 195 were reduced to one lane of slushy travel. It did seem to be substantially warmer and less frozen south of the Patapsco river. Luckily her flight departed on time.

Now it seems to be snowing and raining simultaneously where I am presently in the "highlands" of west Baltimore. If the forecast is to be believed, it's going to turn to rain and then back to snow in time for the PM commute.

What a weird storm!

We got about 4 inches of wet snow as an appetizer. There is a lull right now. Another 6 or so on the way. The temperture is hovering right at 32 or 33.

I was incorrect. She is now likely to be stuck in Milwaukee for eternity trying to connect.

Only a dusting to an inch here in Hagerstown this morning. Sounds like Baltimore/Central MD?DC burbs will get the worst of it.

got about 2-3 inches in the Randallstown-Owings Mills area this morning.. Roads were crazy. Buses were delayed etc.
Now it feels like a full on blizzard outside at 7:10pm.

No window in this room, but I just heard thunder and the dog is going nuts. A quick look outside showed about 3-4 inches and very heavy snow.

The forecasts are all over the place. The Sun's forecast went from (I believe) 5-10, to 4-8, to 6-10, to 3-6, back to 6-10!

wjz was horrible at forecasting this storm. They had forecast a total of 3-6 then at 4pm..they changed it.

I use weather.com they had 6-10 inches from day 1.
