Pines of Rome, Bethesda. REALLY GOOD Italian, and moderately priced.

Richie Highway, right before Crane merges with it (where they run parallel)

I'll have to try the Tasty Diner.

There are some great recommendations in this thread, and I've actually followed up on some of them, so thank you very much.
Next question:
Anyone have any tips on decent BBQ in Maryland? I'm partially from Kansas City, the kingpin of BBQ, and partially from Texas, which is also among the best, and I'm dying for a rack of spicy beef ribs or some tasty and spicy brisket. I don't eat pork or shellfish, so sorry, I'm not interested in where the good pork ribs or BBQ shrimp is.
And no, Famous Dave's is not good BBQ.

I actualy have not been able to find any good BBQ places n MD... but I guess its bcuz I was partially raiised in NC... so that's what I;m used to. BUT... there is this rib shack in POwmonkey, MD (down rte 210 in charles county) and it's EXCELLENT. I actually don't know if they're still there... its been some years since i've been there.
