We have lived in Elkton for 11 years and have loved it. We have a 90+ year old mother and what has impressed us is the care that folks extend to the elderly - in shops, restaurants, church. Elkton is small enough to feel at peace but large enough to have ample services. The snow removal, debris pick up , trash, and elder care services surpass thos eof our former county - Anne Arundel. Further it is convenient to 95, Baltimore DC and Philly. I strongly recommend it (as if you couldn't tell!)

Seriously? Don't believe everything you read on some angry fool's post- damn lady. Elkton is a small town near PA and DE. It's a nice little area. The person who wrote that post was probably talking about Baltimore. The upper eastern shore of MD is laid back, but not too far from major cities -the populations of all major cities exhibit the traits the poster attributed to "Marylanders". Well all except the reverse discrimination comment. There are a lot of African Americans in Baltimore, that is the only thing I can think of in regards to that, and seems pretty racist. Elkton is nice place to live and is near to several big cities, I think that's a good thing, but you probably don't.

Does anyone remember Bruce Johnston and his family that used to live in Elkton back in the 70's? They made the movie "At Close Range" (1986) based on true events surrounding that family.
