Default Germantown to Elkridge commuting ways

Hello, i got a small assignment and have to travel for few days from Germantown to Elkridge. I have travelled once during non-peak hours and used all the freeways (270, 495, 95, MD-100) and it took me roughly around 50 mins. But during peak hours, i am wondering it could might as well take me 2 hours because of the traffic on 270, 495 (dont know about 95).

If someone has travelled or is travelling this route, can you recommend me any inner ways or routes or any other mode of transport, that will help me try that route/way.
