jennipher26 is on a distinguished road
I live in maryland And think it is a beautiful state. I do agree over time there has been a drastic change. But still maryland has alot to offer. People always have something to do. Montgomery county has a great school district. And the housing market has remained strong. Anyhow I am planing to move to waynesboro Pa about 30 mins from the MD line. Does anyone have any opinion on the comparison?

When we moved to PA, we were amazed at the difference. We found that people in PA are pleasant, and strangers say hi and talk to you in stores. The cashiers all speak English. When we were house hunting, people in the neighborhoods would wave at us as we drove by. Traffic here is nonexistant compared to MoCo. Most people don't have the rush rush mentality.

The area is very rural, and has lots of farmers. Best farm markets I've ever been to. Lots of places are closed on Sundays because they are owned by Mennonites. Garage sales are huge, but go from Thurs-Sat...none on Sunday!
It's a definite change, and takes some getting used to, but well worth it.

Good luck with your move! Hope you like it in Waynesboro.
