Default Cape St. Claire - Spiders/Bugs

I just bought a house in Cape St. Claire and noticed an abundance of spiders around the deck. The house was not occupied for a few months and I know its been very dry. Is this the norm? Reason I'm asking is I'm thinking about getting an exterminator in to reduce the amount of spiders because it seems a bit out of the norm. I know they have their place and will balance out the abundance of other bugs, but I just want to be sure. Also, how bad do the stink bugs get? Thank you!

The stink bugs could get really bad. Just try to keep them out of your house. I personnally have a huge dislike for bugs and spiders so I would do an outside fogger first before calling an exterminator.

You know what I do when I see a stinkbug....nothing. They don't bite, sting, fly around your face, or spread germs. They just hang around for a day or so, then turn up as a dessicated carcass. I understand why farmers would dislike them, but as a house owner, who cares?

The only arthropod that really gives me the creeps in my home...........House centipedes!

LOL! Ditto that. I think I finally managed to largely rid my house of those freaky centipedes. The first time I came across one was shortly after I moved in. Crack of dawn one morning getting ready for work I was enjoying a hot shower when I noticed something in the periphery. There, right on the inside shower curtain scurrying around was a ginormous centipede. Holy heart attack.
