Hello all, nice to see everyone in one place again!
I find it very suspect that scam.com is down. In addition scam.net just recently changed from message board site to a media company site, yeah right.
I wonder if the MDH folks are behind it, perhaps they bought them out or paid them off?
It is a shame because there was a lot of good information posted on scam.com. Is there another message board that we can all post to? A place where they are most likely too big to get taken down or paid off?

Mr. Williams, we all know you are reading these threads. The best thing for you to do is just come clean. It will be easier for you to work with the AG than to fight them. As of this moment you are the only person that knows all the details.
And your actions speaks for itself, why are you hiding basic business details if there is no wrong doing? No one is asking for any secrets, only where the revenue generating machines are. You have a few hundred on location, right? How else were you going to pay for all these mortgages?
There is also that other little, minor, tiny, question of houses under your program where the appraisals come in 10-15% higher.
We are all ears, ready to listen.

Hi all,
finally, our friends see the light! They now realize that pos dream is a scam. They went to the sat meeting and it was a disaster! It was the old church service again. They were holding hands and praying. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. at one point they started saying the children's prayer "now I lay me down to sleep". It was like a circus. People were angry and wanted to know when they were going to pay there mortgages and wanted to know about the atm machines. Dr Bland played the race card again and not one of them mention paying any mortgages or the atm machines. Our friends are board members and have several homes in the program. They still don't quite understand how serious this is. They think they can just sell there homes and get out of the program. They way the real estate market is today it's impossible! I wish them luck!

whataboutthismess, thanks for the update! I guess Bishop Andy has preached his last sermon, so he is resorting to children's prayers. Tomorrow is the final court date for the Restraining Order; nothing is going to change. The remaining stragglers should get a wake up call that the SCAM is over. BTW, you are right! With the way the real estate market is today, those homes will have a hard time selling. People with multiple homes in the SCAM will, unfortunately, go into foreclosure.

Heads are starting to roll and I hope this is only the begining. All those who knew better and chose to shut a blind eye (deceiving the less knowledgable and more gullable) all for money, need to pay. I heard of this story of Dwight Taylor yesterday and was hoping the paper would cover it. I will say, there was fraud in almost every loan that was processed for every house that went through Metro Dream Home and those who participated need to held accountable so that more do not follow down that path. I hope to see appraisers, loan officers, mortgage brokers, real estate agents and title closers held accountable and disciplined to the fullest extent. Without all of these different entities working toward the same goal (closing a home deal), this type of scam cannot work. Yah! Yah! to the Attorney Generals out there. I wish them the best and hope in the end it sends a clear signal to anyone thinking of bending ethics...there is a severe consequence.

Thanks for the update. I am actually very surprised we have not heard anything like this before and regualtors should be going after ALL the enablers like AR Tordaro stated
Seems to me that the Washington Post has gone to sleep on this story.

Okay guys, I just got an idea. I am an appraiser and Real Estate agent in the Fredericksburg area. I do 99% appraising because I do not like the way many agents operate. I personally know some people who have become involved in Metro Dream Homes. I heard a rumor that I thought was a good idea, a very reputable appraiser here is going to turn in an appraisal that was done for one of these deals because it was misleading. This is very serious in appraising and can be cause to have your license revoked. I thought that I would throw my hat in the ring and say if anyone would like to have their appraisal reviewed for free, I would be willing to review them with the understanding that I will be turning into DPOR any appraisals that are misleading. Also understand that I will only review what is my market area. I cover Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Prince William, Caroline, Culpeper, Orange, Essex, King George and Westmoreland Counties. If you have purchased a home (or know someone who did) in any of these counties and would like to at least take a measure of disabling the appraiser from being able to more, send them to me. My company web site is CommonwealthAppraisersVA.com. Click on the order button and fill out the info for me to get in touch with you and we will proceed from there.
I do not think all of the appraisals were misleading... especially in the cases of refi's where there was equity in the home, but I think in some of the cases the appraiser intentionally ignored better comparables in order to hit a number. By sending a message that this is not tolorable, we will stop harm from future scams.

Hi All:
Thanks again for keeping us updated on this important case. Just wondering if anyone has the latest information about the Court hearing held earlier today in MD? Purple Kool Aid did a fabulous job updating us on the hearing in the DC Court. Hopefully he will update us on any other developments especially, the judges ruling.
