I won't. I was mostly kidding.

Keep in mind you're talking to people from different generations and backgrounds. I can hardly remember '03 let alone what I was wearing. lol Guess I'm getting old because I have no idea what you're talking about. All I know about DC culture is some like go-go music.

DC with Northface in 03?

Northface has always been extemely popular out west...places like Denver, Portland, etc. Kind of 'mountain gear'. Probably at least since the early 90s.

Sounds like transplants to DC might have brought it with them....

I hadn't heard of trends going in that direction and into the inner cities before.

Northface always been popular as a premier brand in general I guess, its just that Eddie Bauer was always the main coat in the DC area then it switched to Northface. I still have a couple First Down jackets in my closet from back in the day.

I dont see a choice for the other and more superior city of Fredrick. While I grew up closer to Baltimore I feel more aligned to Fredrick.

Baltimore is definetly the more Maryland-y city overall. As larger cities go, feel more aligned to Annapolis than anywhere else.
