it's a tough call. Baltimore has much friendlier people and it's less expensive to live there. DC costs WAY too much and everyone is so important that they don't have time to talk to you. I've bounced back and forth between Baltimore City and the PG suburbs 3 times now and I can honestly say that both have their charms.

DC all day! More stuff to do. Better Transit, Better Jobs, More Walkable, More Cosmo, More Sophisticated, Better Nightlife, International, etc....

NYC is terrible! I traveled there once and never once got a friendly person willing to help a visitor. But then again thats synonymous with pretty much any city...

Well considering where DC came from its made alot of progress...it was still the nations capital during its worst days too

Baltimore has its charms but it's more of a cesspool ithan DC. Frankly if things don't change quickly in B-more it is hurtling towards Detroit status.
