Its not a bad place to live but if you are used to big city conveniences(lots of entertaining things to do, many varying restaurants, large sports venue, concerts, etc) then it will be a culture shock for you. Despite what others may tell you Salisbury does have a higher than normal crime rate per capita and ignoring that will only make you an easier target. Keep that little stat in the back of your head, lock your house/car, anything with your belongings in it and you should be ok. The area as a whole is geared more towards retirees and outdoor sportsman so if you fall into that category then Salisbury will suit you to a T. Unfortunately any other age group will be SOL. Nightlife is non-existent and depending on where you are can be dangerous(ask any SU student).

Good paying jobs arent easy to come-by on the shore and real estate prices(considering what you are getting) are through the roof(one of the reasons crime is higher here). Hopefully you already did your homework in this area.

Good luck with your move and I hth.
