Default why no mention of washington county?

I was just curious as to why no one really talks about Washington County here? [well not in the most recent posts, I'm all PGC'd out ]

I moved here from Philly, Pa only 4 years ago. Since its a lot better compared to where I came from, I'm wondering if maybe I'm blinded

So far from what I gather its a great place to raise your kids, shop and houses are still [somewhat] affordable. I do think that it turning into more like Frederick City with the amount of development happening, but there are still some nice small towns [Boonsboro, Williamsport, Funkstown, Smithsburg, Sharpsburg] that are still close enough to all the amenities. Not to mention right off of I-70 and I-81. Here, you're <90 minutes from DC, Baltimore and Harrisburg.

Any WashCo supporters or haters out there? I'd like to hear both sides. I may be moving in about a year and hubby and I are debating on staying here in WashCo or going across the Mason-Dixon to FranklinCo PA.

TIA!

I would LOVE to live in Washington County. On Easter Sunday about two years ago my friend and I couldn't find the restaurant his parents wanted us to meet them at, so we just drove around and explored. The weather was cool and sunny, then we happened upon the monument for the battle of Antietam and walked around on the train tracks and looked at pretty flowers all around. I wish I could afford a cute little house out there, but I think I'm pretty much priced out unless I get a fixer-upper (or a well-paying job! the latter would be the goal...) and I don't even want to attempt buying something that needs work because I have no experience, no "honey-do" and I would be scared that it would turn into a money pit.

Love that area. Also once my friend was visiting from out of town and I was new to the area too, so we were driving around and I was like....let's go to Boonsboro!! Then we got there and then left uneventfully. We thought the name was funny. I thought it was beautiful. I couldn't enjoy the views on the way there because it was at night. But I did see city lights below on the mountain and that was cool.
