You need to be posting in the Charles County forum and giving answers as to why the Charles County is going down hill very very fast. Maybe one of those reason is because Charles County resident as yourself are so involve with what is going on in other county that you guys ignore the decline in your county.
Well atleast those employers do not have to worry and kkk's and kkk's burning their employee homes.

Some people can't take constructive criticism and certainly don't offer up any solutions except something silly about the KKK....the KKK is dead.
I myself would be mad as hell if I still lived in PG county and was a homeowner.Especially if I had purchased a $600,000 to $700,000 home in Upper Marlboro and paying $500 to $600 a month in property taxes. I'm paying the highest taxes in the state and what am I getting in return for it ? Trash pick-up ? the worse school system in the State ,and that's about it. What a bad investment , especially for the children.
I'd be mad as hell that after all these years DC and PG's answer to the serious problem of crime and low income families trapped in a system that coddles them and rewards them for there actions or lack of action. There's no incentive to do better for themselves so why would they try at all.
I'd be mad as hell if after all this time of DC and PG's Liberal approach to fighting crime and poverty has been successfully proven to be total failure. Now the Liberal approach is not to uplift this population but yet to run it off. DC and PG's regenification programs are disgraceful in my opinion.
They have "talked the talk" all these years but they in the end don't "walk the walk" for these low income families. They've kept them poor for several generations and now instead of changing strategy to help these low income families and realize that Government isn't the end all to help these poor families. That they push them out to there neighbor counties and say "good luck" and let them deal with them.
When is PG county going to realize that it needs to change its philosophy in fixing serious problems of crime and poverty and to realize that just throwing MONEY at the education system is not always the answer as well. It's time to get back to the basics and TEACH kids actually how to read , write and arithmetic. These kids are our future....BLACK and WHITE KIDS.
Especially in these times...for Gods sake its 2008 and we're still blaming the problems on Race issues...its truly sad.
I have to say that I've lived in several parts of the country.....in the DC area you can cut the Racial tension with a knife....why in hell is it still like this after all this time. San Diego is the absolute best place I've ever lived and not just because of the weather. San Diego is quite a diverse area with a mixed of Latino's , Asians , Caucasions and African Americans and there is little to no racial tension whatsoever there!!! You can't understand without living there that it was such a breathe of fresh air to live in an area like that.
Im 41 years old....there's no reason that in my life time the DC area can't achieve that same result with racial tensions here....I pray for that so my children don't have to deal with that in there lifes and put that energy to a better purpose.

What you are doing is generalizing the entire county as a whole. PG county do have excellent schools not all of PG county schools are not good schools. PG county have plenty of blue ribbon schools. Pg county have plenty of successful family friendly people. I pay $500 a month in Property tax and I am getting my money worth. My community school is up to par with schools in Chevy Chase/Bethesda in Montgomery county. I get trash pick up twice a week.
What the hell are you talking about. If these poor people can pay $500 and more a month in property tax well that tell me they are not poor. Why are you only labeling the entire county as poor. Do you know majority of people buying these 500k and up homes are young Blacks which prove that the system is working. Poor people are everywhere in your county.
Well maybe you need to visit the poorer areas in Montgomery county.

I understand your post and the points you make are good but why are you stating how mad you would be in reference to a county you don't live in. I don't get it.
I'm mad about a lot of things in Prince Georges and I can say that because I live here. I'm here to stay, to serve and try to change things.

"Dr." Deasy's leaving because PGCPS was nothing more than a resume builder for him, pure and simple. Got him the job with Gates. And with his now questionable doctorate ask yourself, "did he jump or was he pushed?".
Good high schools? Look at Laurel, Bowie and Douglass. And those three could be better if Roosevelt, Flowers and Oxon Hill didn't cherry pick the best kids. One of the reasons PSAT/SAT scores lag is because the philosophy of the system, and it's there for political reasons, is that all students are college bound and therefore are going to take the tests. That's crap but it makes parents feel good.
Do PG schools have problems? Oh yes-1/2 the students in the system overall are on free lunch, some schools have 200% turnover of students a year so there's no consistency. There is a teacher recruitment problem because of the reputation of the schools and because, quite frankly, successive school boards since the 1980's have the reputation of not keeping their promises to staff with some members being meddlers. The admin offices are filled with people who are excellent at carrying sheafs of paper but it's real hard to figure out exactly what their job is.
Rich kids go to private schools anyway, no matter the race.

And Deasy's leaving without seeing his ideas through. What's PG's Maclean demographic comparable? TJ is a magnet. Does Fairfax average 51% free lunch in the students body? That's the PG number.
People compare PG with with other local systems and are comparing apples and bananas.
You're saying things I've said for years about ER.
The Special Ed department is the largest department in some PG high schools and the special ed students have to take the same tests. You should see a non-reader try to take the system required PSAT. I did on Wed. Now tell me why the scores are low.
I don't live in PG but the teachers I see every day work their guts out on a daily basis.

And once again you're ignoring the underlying demographics of the County.
