There are more people doing the "power commute" these days. I once read a story about a guy from Hagerstown who flies his plane to the College Park airport each day and jumped on the metro to work in DC. Crazy. Have a few friends who do Hagerstown to the Inner Harbor and Tysons Corner. I know people who live in Cumberland, Frostburg, and even Keyser WV who drive down here each day.
