Default Columbia, MD Village of Hickory Ridge-Clary's Forest Area?

Hi,

My husband and I have found a townhome we like in the Clary's Crossing/Forest section of Hickory Ridge. We won't be there long enough to have our kids in the schools, but the assigned HS is Wilde Lake. Does anyone know anything good or bad about this area? It looks like the Atholoton HS is better than Wilde Lake HS-does anyone know names of sibdivisions that feed into Atholoton? Our budget is about 400k. Thanks.

I'm partial to Atholton, having graduated from there, and still have family in Hickory Ridge. The primary Atholton area is bordered (I think) by Cedar Ln, Owen Brown Rd, Rt 29, and I think Rt 32. There are a couple of places off of Cedar Ln just past Lorien that feed into Atholton also, but I forget the street names now (the first couple streets past Lorien heading towards Little Patuxent Pkwy). The streets between Lorien and Rt 32 on Cedar Ln also feed into Atholton. I don't remember how far out towards Clarksville the area goes on Rt 32 because they've changed a bit since I was there.
I looked the other day, and you can probably find a house off of Martin Rd for right around $400. Don't have any specifics though.
