Default Move to MD, work at Johns Hopkins - place to live?

Specs: couple in late 20s. No kids, 1 dog (50 lbs) & 1 cat

Looking for an apt between $700-$900 per month. We have 2 cars and will need parking. Safe area is important!

We are very flexible in terms of where we live. I will be commuting to work at Johns Hopkins and am hoping to use public transit as opposed to driving. My husband doesn't have a job lined up yet and may end up working in either Baltimore or DC. We are okay living in Baltimore, DC or anywhere inbetween. Some place with a lot to do would be nice.. Any advice?

Thanks!

It's called Patterson Park.

You can WALK to work (most days) and get rid of one of the cars.

Patterson park would be ideal but I don't think you'll find anything remotely close to your price range. The subway has a stop adjacent to JHH and goes all the way to Owings mills so you could look for homes along that route.
