Default Looking for a decent realtor

Hi there

My job is moving against the flow of traffic i.e. leaving North Carolina and moving to Montgomery county.

I'm looking for a decent local realtor to with single family home expertise in Montgomery county. I'd prefer a realtor who doesn't work for one of these larger companies, by that I mean Century 21, Long and Foster etc who shows up with her Louis V bag, Lexus SUV and large bling and who is eager for me to hurry up so she can make her nails appointment.

Been there, done that.

You can PM me with contact information rather than posting on this thread if you prefer to keep things private.

Thanks for your help

I know a very good realtor her name is Robin her Contact number is 301-775-9757.
She works with Zip realty. She is very down to earth person and is very familiar with Montgomery County. She is one of the best agent in the Business. She is a full time agent so she works on your time and is always available for you.

I had a pair of realtors who work together as a team (about 10 years). They helped me buy my home there over 4 years ago and sell my house there, just recently. The flyer covered the details of the house (nothing about them). I met them through a physician referral service and they have placed many physicians who are friends of mine.

I think they have a great thing going and are very pleasant. They know MD well. They work for Washington Fine Properties and they focus more on the buyer (if you're a buyer) and the property (if you're the seller) - as opposed to promoting themselves like most agents do (glamour shot photo's on their brochure, etc).

If you want their contact info, PM me.

WASHINGTON FINE PROPERTIES

If I HAD to move back there, I would use them again.

I would recommend Chuck and Linda Sherman from Weichert Realtors. They're a Husband/Wife Team that I've dealt with before and they were a real pleasure. They've been in the business a long time, and they're good people . Their Contact # is 301-335-3136

Thanks for your response and PMs everyone. I'd almost forgotten I'd written this post.

A year on and I did explore the areas housing. Poolesville is a nice town but I could see the housing market was slowing, and I just didn't think spending 500K on an older home (and with it a wearing roof, AC etc.) was worth the money. I looked at newer townhomes in Wheaton which started at 400K. These were clearly not worth the money either. With only two floor plans in a 100+ development I wondered how the heck I'd sell the thing.

In comparison a custom built 3200sq ft home in North Raleigh, NC on an acre of land came on the market for 420K. A much better long term investment I felt. So buy it I did. I'll commute from Raleigh to DC for a little while longer I guess.

You can now close this thread down dear moderator.
