Well today here it was 92 degrees. It is nice now in the mornings, and evenings. We are off to Oak creek Canyon tomorrow early to get some camping in before its too cold.

Sounds really nice there. I can not wait to move. We are not moving until May though. Just in time to escape next years heat. This year was the worst summer on record, and it felt it. Good news though , they have built three new hospitals in the greater area in the last year. They needed that here. Wait times arnt as bad, but still need improvement.

chipmunk226 is on a distinguished road
I moved from Philadelphia to Hagerstown almost 4 years ago and anything is better then Philly My husband and I are actually considering the same thing, whether to stay in Hagerstown or to move up to Franklin County. The main draw is cheaper housing and more land.

Also, Hagerstown is developing WAY to fast and the city and surrounding areas aren't prepared for it. Many schools are overcrowded, the traffic can be terrible at times and where we used to see tons of cornfields, in just the short time we've been here we've seen a lot of change.

If you are considering Hagerstown, then I would steer you in the direction of the surrounding towns, like Funkstown, Boonsboro, Smithsburg, Sharpsburg and Williamsport. If you choose Boonsboro, the commute would be doable to Chambersburg and you would be fairly close to Frederick where you would get paid more per hour then you would in Hagerstown.
