newhart, my realtor emailed the addresses of the properties we're going to see tomorrow, and I agree totally with what you said about Howard's Ridge. I've scratched that off the list.
Cradlerock might be kind of iffy. I'll have to see how it looks tomorrow.
Thanks for the input!

So what did you think of the homes you saw this weekend?

Well! I saw a LOT of homes this weekend. I looked in EC, Columbia, and some parts of Elkridge, and I placed a contract on a home in Elkridge! The zip is 21075, so it's an Elkridge zip, but it's Columbia to me. It's near the new Lowe's shopping center that also has a new Costco. Off of 175 and 108. It looks like a nice area, close to good shopping and restaurants. It's also close to 95, so it's convenient.
The home is nice. It's a townhome, gas heat, gas fireplace and oven, deck with stairs to bottom, a yard that can be fenced, backs to woods, one car garage, 3 BR, 2 full/2 half baths, wood floors in dining/family rooms. Offered price was $359,900, but I offered a little less. Although I offered less, I think it's a fair offer based on comps, and I will definitely accept any counter that they offer.

Congrats! I'm in 21075, too, but it's more Ellicott City/Elkridge, than Columbia/Elkridge- as opposed to what I think of as Elkridge/Elkrdige- which to me is closer to rte 1. I could never figure out how they do they lines, because it's a little goofy, practically being one thing on one side of the street and one thing on the other! That is a great new shopping center, by the way- we went to Houlihan's for dinner the other night and it was very good. The first house we ever put a contract on was near there, off of Mayfield (which we got outbid on). Welcome to the neighborhood!

Thanks! Now I just have to pack!! By the way, if anyone else is moving, I'd like to suggest they check out this web site: Moving: How to avoid Moving Company Scams. It lists moving scam artists in your area.

Sounds like a nice place, I work about a minute from there right across from the new best buy/costco shopping center
