Yeah, I had driven through that area before (my boyfriend loves Olive Garden, and the closest one to me is there in Restaurant Park), but I never bothered to look at the homes.

Default Columbia Vs. Ellicott City

Hi, My partner and I relocated to Columbia three years ago from Southern New Jersey. We have lived in several different cities ranging from Scottsdale Az to Atlanta, to Ladera Ranch Ca. Of all the place that I have lived in, Columbia is by far my favorite. I currently live in Kendal Ridge off of 108. I love the location, as its way close to everything, and I love the neighborhood. The Long Reach Village Center is fine, however I wish that they would make it a bit more upscale. When we were looking for houses we looked in Ellicott City, and were under impressed. Lots of strip malls and suburban sprawl. Also, it seems that Ellicott City is much more conservative, and "white bread" wheras columbia just seemed so much more "real". I have noticed that people from E.C. tend to hold a grudge against Columbia, wheras people from Columbia dont really ackowledge E.C. Columbia is consistenly ranked as one of the best places to live in the u.s. year after year, and on numerous polls. While it is expensive, I think that the quality of life more than makes up for it.
