Default Montgomery county electric utility choice

I am moving into a place in Gaithersburg, and according to the county website there are 3 companies I can choose from.

Can anyone recommend if one is any different from the others? (PEPCO, Baltimore G&E, and Alleghany Power)

Thanks.

You get a choice? I have Allegheny where I live. BG&E was in the news about big rate increases. MD is one of the fool states that deregulated the power companies and is discovering that a monopoly raises its rates at will. So far Allegheny has not raised its rates.

I lived in Rockville and used Pepco. I didn't have issues.

You need to look into the differences between co-ops and private corporations to see the advantage over each other. Find out the $/Kilowatt, also.
