Best Schools around Hagerstown (Cumberland, Smithsburg: real estate, best school districts, living in)

My husband is considering accepting a job in Hagerstown. We were pleased overall with the area, but I've not heard such great things about the schools. What are the best school districts w/in a 1/2 hr radius of Hagerstown? Catholic school is not really an option for us, but we would consider another private school if any exist.

Hi,
If you choose to live in Chambersburg,PA, there are 2 private schools: Shalom Christian Academy and Cumberland Valley Christian School. We really like living in Chambersburg, but have to move to AZ. We both commute to Hagerstown. It takes my husband about 20 minutes and it takes me 30-45 (I work on the very far side of Hagerstown).

If it's any indication, real estate listings in the area always stress if the schools is in the Smithsburg area. =D
