Sweet. Looks like it won't be as easy to get as in CA or CO, but it's a start. I actually rather like the academic approach they're taking with it. Hopefully it'll build even more evidence that cannabis has legitimate medical uses so that the DEA will finally fold and reschedule it to something other than Schedule I (I mean for ****'s sake, it's considered worse than methamphetamine).

I think the legislation passed is ok overall. Some great ones, some not so great ones. I'm not too crazy about the gas tax, but we need to fund transportation not only now but for the future. If only the government would stop stealing from the trust fund...

Still very proud of us for legalizing gay marriage and repealing capital punishment.

The gun control bill is just feel-good legislation IMO, I doubt you'll see a significant reduction in murders because of it.

Boy, I sure wish Invader Bryce hadn't been kicked off the boards. Wasn't long ago that he told us all it would never happen.

He's probably shaking his fists at the skies and writing a strongly-worded letter to his congressperson.

A letter undoubtedly written in vain.

It still hasn't happened.
All that was passed is a VERY restrictive and hyper monitored MEDICAL plan.

It's a start... but hardly anything to crow about w/r/t legality.

He got a sense of superiority out of his stance against pot. I guess now he'll get his chance to call all those cancer-laden folks "lazy potheads" to their faces.

He's not here to say it, but I recall IB being quite against it being use for any medical purposes. It had no medical purposes, he said.

CO and WA are leading the way. MD will follow once the New England states make it happen.

What do you think is next? Are we going to become the most liberal state in the nation?

All of these issues are simply progressive feathers in O'Malley's hat to promote his political future.
He's trying his best to keep up with Mr.Coumo in New York.
