- Legalizing same-sex marriage

- Legalizing medical marijuana

- Repealing the death penalty

- Strict gun control laws

- Instate tuition and drivers licenses for illegal immigrants

What do you think is next? Are we going to become the most liberal state in the nation?

Did most of these things exist in Maryland even just 2 years ago?

Just my two cents, but I'm a registered Democrat and I think our state is way too liberal to be functional.

You also forgot

- High taxes

- Failed education system

- One of the most permissive states in the country for abortion (health care workers that refuse to assist an abortion out of conscience are allowed to be open for civil and disciplinary liability).

So we kill innocent babies, let hard convicts live but if in the case they are released/break out in the neighborhood we have a civilian population that can't protect themselves with firearms of their choice. But hey, maybe they can give the bad guys marijuana to cool down their murderous/raping tendencies. For the privilege of living in this idealistic environment, we pay high taxes for congested roads and poor schools...but at least we subsidize illegal immigrants importing drugs/weapons to the country.

At this rate, my 3 year old daughter would make a more competent politician than those we currently have in state office.

Only Nov. 2014 will tell. Till then, if the fraud issue comes up again with the illegals obtaining drivers licenses, they're going to have to veto it. And the NRA is getting ready to take on the state on the recent gun control bill.

Wait, medical marijuana was legalized??????

Molukai, what do you mean by failed educational system? I'm pretty sure Maryland is one of the top-performing states in the country for primary and secondary education. UMCP is a great university, and UMBC is on the up-and-up.

I meant K-12, with particular focus in the county in which I reside (Prince Georges)

Ah, yes, PG's schools are pretty bad. I'm not sure how much of that can be controlled by the state though. I also agree with you on the roads, although at least we're not as bad as Pennsylvania.

Maybe you should re consider being a Democrat. They've been pretty clear what they stand for.
