frostburg md (Elkton: fit in, houses, college)

I am interested in obtaining information about Frostburg Md or any on Elkton, Md. What are the job availables and housing possiblities in either of these two places.

Elkton and Frostburg are very different places in opposite corners of the state.

Frostburg is a college town of about 8,000 situated on the eastfacing slope of Savage Mountain. The college is the main employer. Overall there are not many jobs in the area. The jobs are there are largely in education, health care, some light industry, and government. Housing is cheap and available. Mostly older houses.

Someone else will have to fill you in on Elkton as I am not familiar with it.

There is not much in Frostburg in the area of jobs. It's a nice, quiet area, but I have to say that Western MD is not so welcoming to new-comers. They have their own thing going on there, and it's not easy to fit in. (I lived there for a very miserable year of my life.)

As far as Elkton, you are a lot closer to jobs! I assume you will be needing to make some money to pay for whatever housing you choose. I would say that You'd be better off choosing Elkton, or something on that side of the state, if you needed a job.
