Hello!

We have fallen in love with the Eldersburg area and are considering purchasing a home there. Does anyone in Eldersburg commute to Towson University? My husband would have to make that commute each day (arrive in Towson by 8:00 am, leave around 5 pm).
Thanks for any information!

I don't live in Eldersburg, but I am familiar enough with the area. If you need to be at TU by 8:00 a.m. I would be on the road by no later than 6:45 a.m. Traffic can be very brutal on east bound Rte. 26, I-795, and even I-695 near Towson. From what I understand parking can be a hassle around the university area as well. On Friday mornings you may be able to leave the house a little closer to 7:00 a.m.

Try to do a test "run" once or twice so that you can better estimate the time, traffic, and parking situation. Also, I agree that Eldersburg is a very nice area.

Default Thank you for the suggestion

He works in Towson, I work in Columbia and we need excellent schools for our elementary school age child. Hence Eldersburg/Sykesville.
