You're not joking?

You are seriously considering where to live (or more accurately, where not to live) based on the ranting of a few individuals on an Internet message board?

Have you ever seen Craigslist? Take a look at the R&R section for any city or state in the country. After reading a few posts there, you'll have to renounce your U.S. citizenship and move out of the country because you will have eliminated any place to live if you are going to allow someone ranting on a message board to affect you so profoundly.

Great advice and as you know it is hard to have accuracy even in a retirement thread.

I am currently taking a sociology class online and we recently discussed social disadvantages and racism. . . too much to get into here but my main question to everyone in our "discussion forum" which is mostly like a blog - has anyone ever asked a middle to upper middle class black person what THEY think about socialization of our economy?? Because African Americans continue to statisically remain an economically disadvantaged minority class, I've found that many white people cannot even comprehend that a black person who has money and wants to keep what they earned for themselves!!! What a concept!

Back to the original OP many pages ago - if you are coming from San Fran to MoCo, you will be able to afford a diverse area no matter if you are purple with green stripes or not. You can glean from all the postings on this website what areas will meet your needs. You are coming from a more expensive area to here so if you can maintain or advance your salary, you'll be able to afford the things you find important to you.
Yes I am and your thoughts are very accurate. It is possible to be a fiscal conservative and a social moderate/liberal. There are many of us. We have political views that are mixed on many issues. Folks should have learned that lesson from prop 8 in California. The Democratic Party may be soon to learn that lesson and I voted for Obama.
