Hi, we are relocating to MD for work. Even though we are city people I prefer a more country setting near easy transportation. After extensive search for all wood floors, outdoor space and easy commute to DC or Baltimore, I found this great 2 brm house for rent in Linthicum Heights. I do not see any suggestions or posts on pros and cons. The proximity from our rental to MARC, Amtrak and the BWI is great. No? and we did not hear any air traffic noise when there. The houses are far apart and seem very nice. Especially some older homes which we prefer to the newer cookie cutter ones.

Can someone please suggest or advice on living in Linthicum Heights. We do not have children yet and plan to buy a house in a couple of years.

Where is work? That will make a big difference. Also there is no place that has an 'easy commute' to both Baltimore and Washington. I don't know anyone who would consider Linthicum Heights 'country'. At best it is middle suburbia. For any place I would consider 'country' the only easy transportation would be personal car. Air traffic will depend on which runway is in use and your tolerance for the noise.

I'm not saying it might not meet your needs and coming from the New York Metro area may seem more open than those of us who are used to having 1/2 to 3/4 an acre and be considered 'townies' by those with 4 or more acres. Starting with a rental and learning the area is probably a good idea. I can't help you with specifics about that area you are near the airport but it looks like the main runways don't come directly over the neighborhood I think you are talking about. Good Luck

Work is in Jessup. We are aware this is not a party town and we do have two cars to get around. We also own a weekend home in the NY Hudson Valley, so we don't need 4 acres to have a country feel. I consider it has a country feel because houses are not close to one another and most do have lots land around. I'm not concerned about boredom, one can always find a way to have fun no matter where you are. Thanks for the comments, hope to get some more.
