Default Glen Burnie

The possibility of relocating to the Glen Burnie area has just presented itself to my family. Unfortunately we nothing about the area. Since we have a young son and school quality and of course safety is our utmost concern does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? We would most likely need to rent for a while before deciding on where to buy. I thank anyone with info very much in advance.

Personally, I would never put my kids in the Glen Burnie school system. I live in Pasadena and the schools are okay. Chesapeake (Pasadena) or the Severna Park schools are suppose to be the best. Of course you will pay to live in Severna Park. Pasadena is a nice area too, just stay clear of Green Haven. Glen Burnie is cheaper than both these places, I have a sister and my parents live there but they don't have kids to raise. I should say also that most of the shopping is in Glen Burnie.

Pasadena is a great alternative... I don't even find anything TOO bad about Green Haven. It's just a little more blue collar than the parts of Pasadena that are close to Severna Park.

Other good choices in the same price range would be Millersville and Herald Harbor in Crownsville.

I would not recommend Glen Burnie if schools and safety are your top two requirements... let us know if you have nay more questions.

Good luck!
