Red face Restaurants in MD

I am looking to celebrate my bday this year in a new way.

I hardly ever get to do anything "adult like" for my birthday. I have been single for 5 yrs and I have 4 kids so I just take my kids to Chuck e Cheese for my bday.

I am looking to find a really nice elegant place to celebrate it this year being that I am seeing someone now. Business attire/ Moderate to Expensive, is what I prefer. I live on the eastern shore and he lives in Waldorf so I was thinking of something in between there like Chester or Annapolis. I like Italian food American, and Seafood.

If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thank you

I highly recommend Maria's Sicilian Ristorante in Annapolis. Terrific food. I enjoyed it despite being stuck at a two-person table with a terrible conversationalist. She happened to know Maria, and she told me a little about the place, and it sounded almost like an Italian version of the Soup Nazi's kitchen. But it is really good, and right down by the docks and such.

The only place that I can think of that would fit what you're looking for is the King's Contrivance in Columbia, Maryland. I know that isn't in the area you're interested in but, it is very classy, has some interesting history behind it and it is a very fine restaurant. It's been voted Howard County's finest dining restaurant for more than 20 years. I ate there once and I was very impressed with it. Their website is:

Thank you both for those suggestions. I drive by Annies often, never knew that it was such an upscale place. I will have to go and take a look at it sometime. The other places are nice also. Thanks again.

Annie's is a wonderful place. There is a bar/casual area up front (Keno and Bar Games - TV and such)

Then in the back is a formal dining room - (grand) piano player - and waterside window tables with a beautiful view.

Their Sunday Brunch is amazing
