Why is CD MD focused on the triangle of Baltimore, DC and Frederick? Does the Eastern Shore not exist?

Most of the population and most of the moving questions relate to the dense population core in that triangle.

People with question relating to the Eastern Shore (or the western counties) can post in the general Maryland forum. Apparently the moderators haven't seen enough traffic to create separate forums for these areas.

There isn't enough traffic to justify the Frederick section as is. We don't need more sub-forums.

The Eastern Shore deserves it's own sub forum, it's a completely unique region divided geographically, culturally and economically. Having a separate Frederick sub section but no Eastern Shore sub section makes zero sense.

People looking for info on Maryland are not getting any true sense of the actual "sub sections" that make up MD. Sections that would make sense would be:

Baltimore and surrounding area
DC and surrounding area
Southern Maryland
Northern Maryland
Western Maryland
Eastern Shore

I'd settle for some Eastern Shore representation though..

Why divide it into sub-forums at all? One Maryland forum is enough for the whole state.

Maryland is very diverse, it's not like Iowa or some other state that is basically the same from border to border. The differences in the various areas are extreme.

I would probably rather see one MD forum instead of Balt/Fredneck/DC if faced with the choice between those options only.

Now get out of the left lane dfk747, I need to pass

I don't get why Frederick has their own sub forum. I can see the eastern shore, it's a totally different place than DC suburbs and Baltimore and it covers a huge area, but Frederick? It's just a far flung exurb of DC and not all that big. Don't get it.

Agreed 100%.

Frederick? Really?

The Maryland forums don't get that much traffic. Pass me in one of the empty lanes. There's plenty of room.

Maryland is called America in Miniature because of the different areas of the state. There is more than one division on CD for the country, so why not have divisions that are similar for America in Miniature?
