Hi everyone!

I'm being transferred by the company I work for to Rockville, its a great opportunity even if it doesn't turn out to be permanent. I'm getting married in August next year so I won't be moving until my wife-to-be and daughter can come with me (oh and the dog too!).

I won't be driving as soon as I move, so i was looking for somewhere to live that has good bus routes or is close to the metro line. My partner will be a full-time mum, so ideally we'd like to live in a place with lots of families and child-friendly things to do during the day, play groups etc.

We'd probably go for a house rather than apartment, but it seems most areas have a good choice of both.

If anyone has any recommendations of place that sound like they fit the bill, that would be great!

I've worked locally before, but I mainly spent time in the office whilst living in Ashburn and George Town

Thank you!

Are you looking to purchase your home or to rent one?

Here are some for rent in Rockville. (Been years since I lived in Maryland, I forgot how expensive housing is there.)

Zillow Home Rentals - Rockville

Trulia

Homes. Com

Craigslist

I am not for sure about the mass transit, I would imagine it would be quite doable in that area. Here is their website though.

Rockville, MD - Official Website - Transit

Good Luck on your move! Wishing you the best of luck.
