Default relocating help

We need to be near Pax river Naval base. I would be a new stay at home mom with no family and friends around and for the first time in my life I will not be working so i need other people around who I can stay mommy busy with and feel like I am not alone while my husband has a work and peer life. I am not sure what community offers me those opportunities.

Lexington Park is the most developed area near the base, and there's a lot of community activities that you can find there. For kids, there's the Air Museum at the base:

Patuxent River Naval Air Museum

Also, you can try the forums at

Southern Maryland Online™ - Your on-line community for Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties.™

It's a pretty good resource for people to meet and connect in the the local area specifically. Hopefully this helps, if you find yourself looking for something to do or in need of more information on the area, PM me and I'll be more than happy to help point you in the right direction!

Good luck on the relocation!

Default The are mummy clubs in Maryland

I know my client has a mummy club and they exchange info about children issues. There must be one in your area.

Hi! I am moving to Pax River this summer and was wondering how the move went or if you have moved yet? My fiance and I will be moving there as newlyweds, so I identify with your concerns-- I want to make sure that I have lots of things to do while he is at work and hopefully work part time! Please let me know if you have any suggestions...also, would you recommend trying to live on base or renting in surrounding areas? THANK YOU!
