I was hoping that Hogan was going to make a difference in Maryland. Now I see his primary focus is on substance abusers and criminals. Does he even care about the working class who put him in office ? I am having some serious doubts. He just tells us what we want to hear and goes about doing his own thing. Substance abusers and criminals are usually from the same cloth, narcissistic. They don't want to work. They concern themselves with only themselves and the hell with the rest of us. They want what they want when they want it and are unable to put off gratification. Hogan just wants to have his picture in the paper
and that is sad. If you feel betrayed you are not alone.

Kinda need an example of what you're talking about.

There's an article in today's Post where various and sundry Democrats are complaining that Hogan isn't "consulting" with them.

Gov. Hogan

Of course, when O'Malley didn't consult with Republican legislators that was ok because, as was said, "Elections have consequences".

Hogan has brought about more positive change in Maryland in 6 months than O'Malley did in 8 years.

Examples? I'm rooting for Hogan (as I would any MD gov), but let's be realistic here.

IMO Hogan isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread, but is certainly better than what we had or could have had instead.

This is a really bizarre anti-Hogan post. I can't even begin to relate to anything you've said here.

They are, like it or not, a part of our societal fabric. And they are not mutually exclusive to each other or being an upstanding citizen.

I'm sure it very easy for one to say things like you have when they lack perspective or experience. If you really cared for your neighbors, you'd support and appreciate the focus, which has been lacking for a while now.

Remember Hogancan only do so much with the dems controlling BOTH houses of the legislature.

All you have to do is look how the previous repub gov. was titrated by them.

Example, check ot how Erlich wanted casinos and how the dems refused to do anything aouyit.

In fact they constantly said they did NOT want them.

Then, as soon as a dem took over both Miller and Busch supported them.

They will do NOTHING to help a repub get re-elected even if the populous want it.

Well, here's a few things off the top of my head:
  • Budget with no new tax or fee increases
  • Tolls actually lowered
  • Monthly EZPass fee repealed (Hey I have an EZPass again!)
  • Repeal of Stormwater Management Fee (rain tax)
  • Closing of the Detention City in Baltimore City
  • Wisely canceled the ill-advised Red Line
  • Shown real leadership during the Baltimore City riots, especially in comparison to SRB
And he did all of this with a new cancer diagnosis.

So what's your problem with him again?
