What do Maryland regulars on city-data think?

Looking on Zillow/Trulia/Realtor I see nothing but price reductions and homes sitting for longer and longer periods of time.

What are your experiences?

Anyone here considering buying?
Anyone here considering selling?

Have you had a home on (or on again / off again) the market for awhile or had one take a year or two to sell? If so what did you do about price drops?

Am I the only one seeing massive reductions and low number of completed sales vis-a-vis the ever growing inventory out there?

Trying to talk in broad strokes about real estate is about a fruitless an exercise there is. But, generally, sales price and active inventory are about the same as this time last year, statewide. There was a substantial jump of +15% in units pending/sold, so it does appear more people are out buying homes, compared to last summer, which one can reasonably presume to be a good thing.
