Both Party's are showing their true color because I do not think the Republicans like the fact that an African America educated men might be the next President.

I see it in Bill Clinton but not John Kerry and others who have support Barrack from the beginning.

Excuse me but the Republicans have put two African Americans number 4 on the presidential succession order. Both Rice and Powell. Please what is the highest the Democrats have done for us? Now is the time for their acid test. Does anyone doubt Powell could have gotten the Republican nomination if he wanted?

I won't vote for Barack Obama. Not because he's AA, educated, whatever, but because he's a SOCIALIST. I don't hate AA people, or any people. I hate SOCIALISM.

Yea and i'm black and my vote is definitely going to Ron Paul. He's the only person in the election saying the things that matter most to me. Seriously he's the only candidate, that moves me to vote. Yes, I think its great Barrack is going to win the nomination and between he and Hilary he would have my vote without thinking twice, but between McCain, Obama, and Paul my vote without hesitation would go to Ron Paul.

Although I have thought heavily about the possibility of voting for Barrack if he had an actual chance of winning the Presidency, but the only thing i find moving about him is his orating ability. Seriously, although I hate her Hilary is darn good at it too. However, Barrack is such a great speaker if only he said more things that I agree with.

Good Post TuborgP. This was really good information. Party lines have changed as well as individuals within the party lines. I agree, one should base his/her opinion on a candidate's merits and not necessarily on the party's merits...I love Colin Powell, but I don't care for Clarence Thomas. Same party, different people. Go figure.

What some people fail to realize is that even though Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclimation into law, he too owned slaves!

No one would equate Clarence Thomas to Colin Powell no one. Clarence is to be respected because of his position. Colin is to be worshiped because of his accomplishments. Colin is the real deal. I will defend Thomas but I will never advocate for him.
