Hagerstown Questions (neighborhoods, school districts, to live in)

I may be moving for a job in Hagerstown. We're 30 with two young children. I have a few questions:

Would you choose to live in Hagerstown or in a surrounding community? (We can spend up to $350K on a house)
Is there a more desireable vs. less desirable area of town (where I'm from, there is a major difference between the East side and the West side of town)?
Are there neighborhoods to avoid?
Are there better school districts than others to consider?
Do you know of a church-based preschool for 2-year-olds?

Jen, I'm sorry i can't answer your specific questions, but there is a Hagerstown thread with 2 pages of info from several folks. Might want to check it out and see if that helps you.
