Default Rentals in Easton area?

My family & I are planning to relocate to the Easton area since my husband has accepted a job there. Is there a good amount of rental housing in the area? We'd want to rent for a year to make sure we like the area & were hoping there was a variety of new or older homes for rent. Any advice/info would be appreciated. Also, if anyone could tell me how the cost of utilities & car insurance is there I'd appreciate that too. Here in Long Island, NY that stuff's pretty expensive - just wondering how it compares.

Thanks.

How did you ever make out with your search for affordable housing in Easton and how safe is the town? Thanks!
