Smile University of Maryland and Baltimore

My husband will be attending school at University of Maryland and I will be working in Baltimore. We are moving from Virginia Beach. Where would you recommend living? We would like to live some where so he can possibly take the metro to the school. What areas would you recommend that are safe, could find a place to rent under $1500, and that would not be too bad of a commute for either of use.

Depends on how much you want to spend. Maybe look for a place to live on the Camden MARC line, he could take that to the College Park station, the University bus system runs a shuttle from the metro / MARC station to campus about every 7-10 minutes. Southwest Baltimore county or Howard County.
