Default Best MD Cities to live Under $200k - NOT BALTIMORE

I moved to MD approximately 1 year ago and am now ready to purchase a condo/TH. The research thus far has been a bit daunting, to say the least, as I'm not familiar with the area/counties/cities, etc.

I'm looking to purchase something for under $200k. Any advice/info. on the best areas within this price range?

By the way, I'm single with no children, presently working and living in Columbia.

Good luck. Maryland is one of the most expensive areas around. Try PG or parts of Montgomery.

Having arrived here 10 months ago from CT, and having spent 7 years in the Boston area, believe me when I say Maryland real estate prices don't shock me at all. But, I do admit that I expected the prices to be more reasonable that CT and Boston, and they are to some degree.

With that said, there must be some areas (nice/safe) in MD that fall within that price range.

Your response tells me that perhaps I'm out of luck and will have to rent until luck shines on me.
