I would love to move to Maryland!!!!
Why is it so negative around here???
I would love to go to Maryland when I get out of school. I found my aunt that I haven't talked to in years, and she said that the employment is good up there.
Besides, she works for John Hopkins, Hospital. Everytime I go to the careerbuilder website, and put medical secretary in the search engine, it comes up with all types of opportunities!!!!!
I'm afraid though. Being a Carolina girl, paying almost $700-$900 for a one bedroom apartment is not my style. Now a medical secretary starts off with $13 in Maryland, but in Charlotte it starts off with the same thing??? Okay I'm confused.
Besides, I can EAT CRABS EVERY WEEKEND in Maryland. YEEAAHHHHH

The only negative thing about Maryland is the cost of living. You're going to have to make a choice; affordable housing and a longer commute or living closer to work but more expensive housing.

Maryland beats the pants off of Charlotte. Even Baltimore (though don't ride the bus).

WOw that's a first, moving from North Carolina up to Maryland? Leaving the Sunbelt?
Things here are not as nice and laid-back as it is down south, and Baltimore is a very dreary city with lots of crime and decay.

I agree with Terrapin. Baltimore is an expensive, crime-laden, rat infested city. Sure it has its upside but I found it hard to see past the aforementioned traits.

Nothing is worse than Charlotte, outside of maybe Beirut. I think I could be convinced that Beirut was worse than Charlotte. That said, I wouldn't move to Baltimore. I'm moving to Bethesda pretty soon I think.
