Default Talbot County

Hi. I'm a college student thinking of making the move to the Eastern shore, probably somewhere around Talbot County. I'm going to attend Salisbury University, and, because I'm a transfer student, I don't have much chance of getting a dorm. I don't want to put up with roommates. I've got a couple job options, one of which is with a bank that's willing to pay me just shy of 20,000 a year. That's before taxes, so obviously money's gonna be a little tight. Know of any decent-ish apartments around the area? I'm willing to commute up to 60 minutes, but, obviously, the closer the better. So if you know of any of the cheapest of cheap apartments, please let me know. I've tried some search engines but they tend to ignore the area.

In addition to the solid 20k, I do a little freelance writing/editing and other stuff which, while totally unreliable, puts gas in my car and spending money in my pocket, so my income will be used almost exclusively for necessities. Think I can make it, or am I stuck renting a room?

Gribble,

I am not sure if you have found an apartment yet but if you are looking for help I can certainly do what I can. I [moderator cut] just moved back here myself and I know what a pain it can be starting out the search. Easton is a good place to be there is a lot do and it is close to Salisbury.

Shoot me an email and I can send you what is out there.

Easton is about 60 minutes from Salisbury. Talbot County is more expensive to live in then surrounding areas to Salisbury. Cambridge is closer and less expensive, as is Deleware areas that are just north of Salisbury. Easton is a nice place to live, however like I stated, more expensive then other county's. Talbot is one of the richest county's in the United States. SO take that little tidbit as you may.
Good Luck.
