Have lived in Charles county for more than thirty years and will move out as soon as the Mrs retires due to a bad element coming in.I have seen the Police dept go from good to bad,I have seen the schools go from good to bad,....and I have seen the county it self go from good to bad.Yes it is only one man's opinion and disagree if you want but after thirty some odd years enough is enough.

Charles County offers lower housing prices than other D.C. suburbs, and slightly milder winters -- but there are few jobs inside the County that pay a living wage, and the commuter traffic from there into the job centers of D.C. or to No.Va. is just terrible. There is also less entertainment, and less high-end shopping, than in other suburban counties. Charles's school system overall is rated only average. Partly because of MD's high taxes, many local people upon retiring, move to Myrtle Beach SC, to southern Delaware, or to Florida, all of which have very low taxes.
