The change happened when the dunes became condo's.

I was in the Penthouse of the Pyramid one time in 1982. Some beautiful girl took me up there to prove she was staying there, her Father greeted us in this huge marbled foyer. She ran in, got something, I can't remember what, and we went back down to the beach. No nothing happened. I was barely in my teens and she was almost 20 with here friends.

I am not a native Marylander......trips to Ocean City are not ingrained in my childhood or beyond. Recently, I began thinking about looking into purchasing a beach rental property and Ocean City was on my list of places to look. Boy, what a ****ehole. One would think that Maryland's premier (and really, only) beach would be a lot nicer. 1960's hotels....massive trailer parks (co-ops)....hardly any newer neighborhoods or neighborhoods that provide a good option for beach access. Plenty of beaches are MUCH better than Ocean City. I was kind of bummed at how crappy OC really is.
