I am from upstate New York(rural).

I have a possible job offer coming my way for Lexington Park, Maryland.

I have done tons of research on this page, but most of it is 5-10+ years old.

I am looking for up to date information on the area.

Best places to live, good schools, low crime, etc.

My fiance and myself are in our mid 20s, but don't mind places that have little to nothing to do considering we can get to DC within an hour or so.

Look in Leonardtown if you want town life. Much of Lexington Park has, ummmm, issues.

Actually, you can have your choice of living in St. Mary's County, urban (the Park), numerous small towns, suburban like developments and rural. Throw in water access (Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay).

Be prepared for sticker shock for housing.
