Question Cell Phone Purchase

I am looking for a place in Northwest Baltimore County (think by way of Pikesville/Owings Mills) where I can purchase a cell phone WITHOUT A PLAN. I have Verizon for my provider and am wondering where else I could buy a NEW PHONE aside the store (which just wants to rip me off cause I am unable or ineligible to upgrade at this time). I checked into Best Buy; their prices for NO PLAN Cells seem comparable...
Not looking to spend more then about $150. Also, I am seeking a bar or slider style phone.

Thanks!

When my Verizon phone died last year and I didn't want to spend 100s on a phone because I wasn't due for a new phone yet the folks at Verizon told me to look on Ebay - they have 1000s of "no contract" phones for sale on there.

Whenever I want to buy a phone without a plan, I get them off of Ebay. They're available used and new there. The better sellers will give you the ESN number (or whatever it's called) of the device they're selling and you can call Verizon (or whoever) with that number to make sure the device hasn't been reported stolen and is otherwise able to be activated on their service.

I've done this two or three times without an issue.

You can go to cellhut.com and buy one there. They are called "unlocked" phones and you can check compatability w/ your service provider right on line. I've done this twice and had no problems and saved quite a bit of money. Good Luck.

I've bought and sold phones on eBay for personal use. No hassles at all. Just be sure to check the feedback rating of the seller.

VZW even helps you program the phone if you call and act like you're having difficulty.
