Just curious if it's visible in MD. I read Charleston, SC would have the better view on the east coast.

It will only be about 85% of totality in Maryland, which is still very bright. I was fortunate enough to see the total eclipse that went up the coast in 1970. My mom took me to Assateague Island to see it. The reactions of the wild ponies and birds were interesting, as were the quick loss of solar heat and the weird twilight visibility. Seeing the solar corona with the naked eye was very impressive. Definitely something to be experienced if at all possible.
