Symphony Village Centreville and Chesapeake by Del Webb Easton
Anyone know anything about either of these two developments (location, reputation, etc.)?

I live across from the Dell Webb community in Easton. It seems nice, I think there are about 500-800 homes in there that are all very similar. I do know that they take care of all the ground work, cutting grass, etc. it always has a nice maintained appearance. They have a club house that is extensively used and a nice pool. They seem to have a lot of activities and things in the community. I could be wrong but I think a majority, of the people who live there moved here from other areas, most probably coming from Montgomery Co.
I don't know about Symphony Village in Centreville other than the taxes there are much higher and wern't they foreced to stop building a few years ago for some reason? Centreville has a nice small town feel but if you are looking for an area that has more shopping, more doctors, hospital, etc. close by Easton is probably better.

Any recent news on Symphony Village? Heard from some brokers that they are going into default like Caruso Homes? Are there any specials out there?

Is there anyone on this list who lives at Del Webb and would recommend it? I have noticed a fair number of homes for sale in the Easton community. It just makes me wonder why so many people have their homes up for sale in a 55+ community.

My sister just moved to Symphony Village last month. She rented there while she was waiting for her home to be built. She loves it and says it is like living in a resort. She rented the clubhouse for her daughter's wedding reception in August and it was lovely!

They are still building the final phase of the Chesapeake by Del Webb community so some of those listings may be the different models available by the builder. I get real estate listings by email and would get all their listings each time they upped the price. They also may build homes then put them up for sale so people don't have to wait for a home to be built. From what I hear its a very active community with lots of things going on. I have heard from a couple people that live there seem to like it and I often see a lot of cars at their club house like they are having parties or some sort of gatherings.
