Family-friendly towns within commuting distance to DC
Can anyone recommend any family-friendly towns to look at which are within a 30-50 min commute to DC? We would love to find a town which had more of a community feeling, rather than just "urban sprawl". We have young kids and would like a place where there are good public schools (at least the elementary schools), safe neighborhoods, parks, etc. We are looking at initially renting and can afford up to $2000-$2300/month for something with at least 3 bedrooms. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
