I guess I used the second link. It's odd, because you end up at two different results pages depending on which of those two links you use. But that shouldn't be. You're asking the same question. The answer shouldn't depend on what page you were on when you asked the question.

(The first link, once I put in my phone number, ended up taking me to a page where it said FIOS wasn't available.)

Another thing I don't like about that website: If you type in an address and Verizon has a phone number associated with that address, they ask you to enter the phone number. But what if you don't have it? All I want to know is if FIOS would be available at some of the properties I'm thinking of purchasing. It seems this website won't allow for that.

If you don't have the phone number (associated with that address) then that is as far as it will let you go. There was a phone number for my address, but I never had a phone here. It would not let me go on the next page. It just keeps asking for the phone number.

I get the shakes when I think about calling Verizon.
Unfortunately, most of the rollout is fairly tight lipped. They don't even give some of us employees heads up =(

My neighborhood - a mere 8 miles south of the White House - is one of the oldest here in the Camp Springs part of PGC. Everything is on poles - power, phone and cable are all suspended above ground.
I have talked to Verizon representatives previously and been told they have no idea of when fiber would be pulled along the poles to offer VIOS. It's basically a pipe dream here. Their DSL does fine when I don't need to call the Philippines to reset my connection. Their electronic switching is faulty at times.
I have DIRECT TV which is more than fine and I use a Verizon land line. The only complaint I have with line quality is noise (distortion) that seems to come and go at times. They deny and play it down but the truth of the matter is the ancient AT&T equipment was never designed to handle the data flow nor the amount of lines that are now in place.

It is going to be a major venture if they ever decide to put fiber here.
